Onyx has a battery life of approximately 100 minutes with regular use and 5-6 hours of minimal use, this being dependant on modes being used and stand by/sleep mode being activated.
Other USB-C chargers and portable batteries will work, although the Onyx Glasses are tested and certified only with the OXSIGHT supplied charger. We advise portable chargers of 5 volts and 2 amps as standard for most portable chargers, this will ensure that the charge will power up Onyx on the go.
OXSIGHT can offer a free demonstration in specific locations. We have approved clinical partners and a full schedule of regional events and information days where you can meet our clinical team and try our products. Onyx Glasses enter a standby state when charged, even if they are not switched on they will use up 20% of the battery charge per day. So if the Glasses were charged 4 or more days ago, they will need to be charged up again.
Power on and ensure the device is fully charged. Attach the head-strap provided to the hooks either side of the device with care and adjust strap to your fitting, alternatively the device can be attached to the lanyard provided for intermittent use, in depth walk through shown in Quick Start Video.
Press the menu button, select, and scroll through the modes available. We suggest you start using Onyx in its basic mode with the aid of brightness and refocus. Once you are comfortable with using the device, there are additional modes within the advanced menu, in depth walk through available in the User Guide manual and video.
